For Therapists, Psychologists & Group Practices
You became a therapist to sit with clients, not to reconcile QuickBooks at 11pm or lie awake wondering what you owe the IRS. We're a boutique CPA firm that works like a strategic financial partner — invested in your practice's success, not just your tax return. Clean books, proactive tax planning, and advice from people who know your name and your numbers.
30 minutes · No obligation · Leave with 3 concrete next stepsWe Work With Practice Owners Every Day
Most practice owners we meet are excellent clinicians running healthy practices — who still feel a knot in their stomach about the money side. Usually it's one of these three:
Clinician all day, then bookkeeper, biller, and CFO at night. It’s the job you never applied for — and it’s the first thing we take off your plate.
Reimbursements lag, income arrives in waves, and planning around it feels impossible. We smooth the picture so you can see what’s really coming in — and plan on it.
Adding an associate, going group, wondering about an S corp — every next step raises money questions nobody warned you about. We’ve guided practices through each one.
How It Works
A 30-minute call about your practice, your entity setup, and where the money stress lives. You'll leave with three concrete next steps — whether or not we ever work together.
We get your books current, connect your accounts, and set your tax plan for the year. If there's a mess, we've seen worse — no judgment, ever.
Reconciled books, financial statements you can read in five minutes, taxes planned ahead of deadlines — and a CPA who knows your practice, spots opportunities, and answers when you email.
Why Boutique Matters
We deliberately keep our client roster small so every practice gets a strategic partner who's genuinely invested in where your business is going — not a seasonal transaction.
No rotating junior staff, no offshore ticket queue. You work with the same team that knows your practice's history — and when you email, a person who knows your name answers.
A partner doesn't wait for April. When your profit says it's time to look at an S corp election, raise your rates, or adjust your estimates, we bring it to you — because we're watching your numbers all year.
Our fixed monthly model only works when your practice thrives long-term. Your growth is literally our business model — which is exactly how a partnership should be aligned.
Meet the Founder
I’m a California CPA with over fifteen years of experience helping small business owners take control of their finances. I started Kim Accounting & Advisory after seeing the same thing happen again and again: hard-working practice owners who weren’t getting the accounting help they needed — or even a returned phone call — from the firms they’d trusted.
Mental health practice owners feel that gap more than most. You’re running a real business between sessions — juggling bookkeeping, cash flow, taxes, and the entity structure question — usually with no one in your corner who actually understands it. That’s the person I built this firm for.
When you work with me, you’re not a file passed around a rotating cast of strangers. You get a partner who knows your practice, stays accountable for your work, and brings you strategy before you have to ask — someone who’s genuinely responsive when you need answers. That’s the whole promise.
Fixed Monthly Pricing
No hourly billing, no surprise invoices. Every package includes monthly bookkeeping and financial statements. Tax preparation and payroll available with Silver and Gold or as add-ons.
Solo practices that need clean books and clarity
$350/month
Established practices that want taxes off their plate too

Not sure which fits? That's exactly what the Clarity Session is for — we'll tell you honestly, even if the answer is "you don't need us yet."
Don’t Take Our Word for It

My situation was quite complicated, but Jason guided me through every step with clarity and care. If he didn’t have an immediate answer, he took the time to research it and make sure I got the best possible guidance. He consistently went above and beyond.
Jason is a very experienced CPA who helped with both my business and personal tax returns — very professional, and he navigated my tax situation clearly. His prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. There will always be cheaper options, but if you want peace of mind, go with Jason Kim. Highly recommended!
I can’t say enough about Jason. He is trustworthy, hard working, organized, patient, and knowledgeable. I am so pleased that we have built a working relationship. It gives me a sense of relief to know that I’ve got Jason in my corner! Do not hesitate to start working with Jason — you won’t regret it!

The exact levers we help practice owners pull — written in plain English, readable in 15 minutes.
It's the most common starting point we see. Clean-up is part of onboarding — we'll quote it flat-fee upfront so there are no surprises, and most practices are current within a few weeks.
Big firms assign small practices to whoever's available; apps give you dashboards but no judgment calls. As a boutique firm we keep our roster intentionally small, so you get a consistent team that knows your practice and brings strategy to you — entity elections, pricing, cash flow, owner pay — before you think to ask. You're a partner relationship here, not a number in a queue.
Mental health practices are our specialty — solo therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and group practices. That focus is why we already know your world: insurance reimbursement timing, sliding scales, EHR reports, S corp questions, and the deductions that apply to clinicians.
Yes — we work virtually with practices across the US. Everything happens over video calls, secure document sharing, and email.
It depends on your profit level, and the answer changes as your practice grows. This is one of the most common things we analyze in a Clarity Session — bring the question and we'll run your numbers.
Thirty minutes on video. We'll look at how your practice is set up, where the friction is, and what it would take to fix it. You leave with three concrete next steps. If we're a fit, we'll tell you which package makes sense; if you don't need us yet, we'll tell you that too.
